Taoyuan's New Library Has Robots
Taoyuan has a new library. It has 23,000 books. And it has robots and
self-driving vehicles!
桃園有一間新的圖書館。這間圖書館有兩萬三千本書，而且還有機器人跟自動駕駛車！
But the robots are not robots with a head, arms, and legs. They are robot
arms!
不過，這些機器人不是完整的機器人，而是機械手臂！
These robot arms move. And they see! They see with cameras. The arms can find
books on shelves. The arms work with the self-driving vehicles. They work
together using AI.
這些機械手臂不但會動，還看得見。它們的眼睛是攝影機，可以找到書架上的書。機械手臂跟自駕車靠著人工智慧合作無間。
At this library, people can choose books online. The robot arms find the
books. They pick up the books. They put them on the self-driving vehicles.
Then the vehicles take the books to the book pickup place. People get the
books and take them home. This is so easy!
想要在這間圖書館借書，可以先在網路上選好，機械手臂會在圖書館裡找書，把書拿起來放到自駕車送到取書口，借書人就能把書帶回家，真的很方便！
The robot arms and self-driving vehicles also work to put books back on
shelves. They do this at night. No one is in the library then.
機械手臂跟自駕車也會在晚上合作把書本放回書架，那時候圖書館裡沒人，不受干擾。
Taoyuan wants robot arms and self-driving vehicles in more libraries. Maybe
more cities will get them too. So maybe you will see them in your library one
day!
