Little Dark Chocolate Might Be Good for You
Did you know our bodies can be younger or older than we are? Maybe you are ten, but your body is twelve!
你可知道，我們身體的年齡可能會比實際年齡年輕或者年老呢?
Our bodies' age shows how worn out our cells are. How do scientists know they are wearing out?
身體年齡從細胞衰退的程度可以看出來。那麼科學家怎麼知道細胞正在衰退呢？
Each cell has chromosomes. A chromosome looks like an "X." It has four ends. There is a cap on each end. The four caps keep the chromosome safe.
每個細胞裡都有染色體。染色體看起來像個英文字母「X」，一共有四個末端。每個末端都有一個用來保護染色體的小帽子。
But as a cell gets worn out, the caps get shorter. That is how scientists know.
隨著細胞衰退或是變弱，保護帽會越變越短。科學家用這個來做判斷。
But what can stop the caps from getting shorter? Can dark chocolate help? Some scientists are studying it!
現在，有些科學家正在研究，怎麼樣讓保護帽變短的過程慢下來。
The scientists found that people who eat dark chocolate have longer caps than people who do not eat it. The longer caps mean their chromosomes look younger!
研究發現，常吃黑巧克力的人，保護帽比不吃的人長！保護帽越長，代表染色體越年輕！
But wait! We cannot eat all the dark chocolate we want! It has sugar and fat too. So scientists say a little dark chocolate with lots of cocoa is okay.
但是不能開懷大吃黑巧克力喔！它含有糖跟脂肪，所以科學家建議我們吃一點就好。
Scientists are learning more. But for now, a little dark chocolate might be good for your body! Yum!

But I feel worn out all the time. 但是我經常覺得好累。
You just need a vacation. 你只是需要去度假。
4) body 身體。
Definitely! It’ll be good for my body and soul. 一定要的! 對我的身體和靈魂都有好處!
