Student Finds Old City
Wow! There are so many trees here! Look to your left! Trees! Look to your
right! There are more trees! We are in a forest, right?
哇！這裡有好多樹木！左看右看都是高大的樹，我們走在森林裡，對吧?
Well, yes. But we are also in a very old city. Many people lived in this city
a thousand years ago.
其實這裡曾經是一座非常古老的城市，大約一千年前，還住了很多人。
Scientists say the city needed more water. So people went to live in other
places. Then one day, there were no more people here. More and more trees
grew. Leaves fell from the trees. Many years later, the city was under a
forest! Nobody could see it. Everybody forgot this city.
科學家說這個城市很缺水，所以越來越多人搬家，直到有一天，全部的人都離開了，城市長滿了樹，變成森林，再也沒有人記得這裡的歷史。
Then a student found the city! No, he wasn't walking around. He was sitting
at his desk. He saw some pictures of the forest. He studied them. He found
the city in the pictures!
直到最近，一個學生找到了這座老城市！他完全沒有出門，只是研究那座森林的照片，就發現裡面有一座城市！
This city is in Mexico. It's about half the size of Taipei. It has almost
seven thousand buildings. There's a pool, a big place to play games with
balls, and more!
這座城市在墨西哥，大概是台北的一半大，裡面保存了 7000
棟老建築，還有游泳池、古老球場等等，非常珍貴。
There are many things in the world to find! Maybe one day you will find
something!
